Introduction to Emergency Management in Canada

Learn the basic concepts and structure of emergency management in Canada. Explore the framework, principles and components involved in effectively managing emergencies or disasters, whether in a government, community agency, industry, or business context. This independent study course is suitable for anyone pursuing a career in Emergency Management, and serves as a prerequisite course for many of the other JIBC Emergency Management Division courses.

The online format of this course is self-paced. Students will need to complete the course, including the exam prior to the class end date. Please make yourself aware of the start and end dates of the course.
