Course Details

This course provides students with an opportunity to connect theoretical classroom learning to practical hands-on experience with a community partner. Through the support of dedicated instructors, students will be placed with a local community organization during the term. Students will participate in classroom sessions throughout the semester to connect with their fellow classmates, participate in group reflection activities and connect their experience to themes of professional practice. This practicum will blend practical experience, reflection, and professional practice. Partners for this course can include but are not limited to local police departments, non-profit organizations and government agencies.
