Course Details

Sheriff Recruit Driver Training is 28 hours of hands-on driving designed to review and enhance the drivers' confidence and skill level. Recruits drive on-road and on a closed circuit. On-road driving provides an opportunity for Recruits to analyse their current driving habits and learn new techniques that will lead to being a safer driver. Training will challenge participants to review and further develop their vehicle handling and test vehicle limitations and capabilities as well as their own. This is completed through observing and practicing collision avoidance techniques as well as experiencing the challenges of decision-reaction exercises and associated vehicle dynamics in routine and emergency driving.
