Course Details

This Marine Emergency Duties, Advanced Fire Fighting course is based on the requirements of Transport Canada TP 4957, Chapter 16, and is in direct compliance with STCW95 Convention, Regulation A-Vl/3. Through classroom-based presentation and practical skills training, participants will gain valuable knowledge and skills in regards to fire safety, as well as how to manage and control fire situations aboard ships. Participants will gain insight in how to train crew and provide leadership while directing these related incidents. REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Candidates must have a valid & current seafarer's medical certifying that the candidate is fit without limitations. Candidate must have valid certification for STCW Basic Safety. Proof of current seafarer's medical must be forwarded to the Coordinator and Assistant for the program, before attending the class.
