Course Details

Students will learn how to access victims stranded in a high-angle environment, using rope based rescue systems. Through the use of these various rope recovery systems, students will learn how to retrieve victim(s) that are caught in these situations and relocate them to a safe location. Students will operate as an integral part of a team environment and will be directed and monitored by instructors acting as team leaders. Students will be given a written and practical evaluation. Students wanting a certificate with IFSAC and ProBoard seals for NFPA 1006 Technical Rescuer Professional Qualifications, Rope Technical Rescuer I, will need to complete Chapter 5, Basic Rescuer Skills.
