Course Details
This course is the second level for hazmat training and focuses on recognizing and mitigating a hazardous materials emergency. Students will focus on chemical properties and the behavior of hazardous materials in addition to topics such as: Decon, Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), terrorism and environmental disasters. Students will apply this knowledge to manage a simulated incident involving hazardous materials, ensuring personnel safety through defensive actions. This course is accredited by IFSAC and ProBoard in compliance to NFPA 472 (2013 edition), Operations-Level, including Mission-specific - Personal Protective Equipment, Product Control, and Mass Decontamination.
