Course Details

This course prepares the student to respond to a rope rescue incident. It explores the principles of rope rescue, scene size up and management, hazards, low to steep angle rigging and patient extrication, and operations or technician level incident support. Students will learn the theory and practical skills required to operate in a low to steep angle environment. This course will also prepare students to move into the high angle environment in the Technical Rope Rescue Operations and Technician courses.
