Course Details

You will examine trauma intervention in relation to children and youth. Course content covers traumatic reactions specific to the stages of childhood development, the role of individuals responding to children affected by various types of critical incidents, the range of interventions, and immediate post-impact and recovery issues. You will also have an opportunity to examine issues related to children with special needs, as well as issues related to working with families. (Formerly CISM204)
