About the Event

Alumni from the Centre for Conflict Resolution are invited to an anniversary celebration to reconnect, reflect, and hear from others whose lives were touched by this work.

Event Host: Kent Highnam, Dean of the School of Community and Social Justice

Before you arrive, we invite you to sit with one question:

Think of a moment — at work, at home, or in your community — when something you learned at the Centre changed how you showed up in a conflict. What happened, and what made the difference?

You are welcome to share your reflection during the gathering, or simply let it inform the conversation. There are no right answers — only honest ones. If you'd like to share your story in writing ahead of time, you can do so at the community site. Selected reflections may be shared (with your permission) as part of the anniversary celebration.

The skills and perspectives you developed here didn't stay in the classroom. They travelled with you — into your workplace, your relationships, your community. Collectively, the alumni of this Centre represent an extraordinary, largely invisible network of people who engage with conflict differently. That matters more than ever.

Whether you completed the full Certificate or took a single course, whether it was last year or decades ago — you are warmly welcome. Come and see who else is in the room.
