
Catherine Wishart has more than 30 years of experience in post-secondary education leadership. From 2006 to 2016, she served as Vice-President, Community & Student Services at the College of New Caledonia, following 17 years in progressively senior roles, including Director of Community, Industry & Business Initiatives.
Since 2016, she has consulted with First Nations and Northern Health in areas including governance, labour market analysis, human resources, strategic planning, and policy development.
Her community service includes four years on the University of Northern B.C. (UNBC) Board of Governors, including two as chair. She currently serves on the UNBC Land Development Corporation Board. She has also served on the boards of the Prince George Elizabeth Fry Housing Society and Community Futures of Fraser Fort George, and as a lay member of the Board of Examiners of the B.C. Association of Forest Professionals.
Wishart holds a bachelor of journalism and political science from Carleton University, a master of education in policy and administration from the University of Calgary, and a diploma in dialogue and negotiation from Simon Fraser University.
