Doug Purdie

Doug Purdie is a Chartered Professional Accountant and retired audit partner of Ernst & Young LLP. During his career, he held senior roles, including partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Deloitte LLP and Ernst & Young LLP, advising private real estate companies, organizations involved in Canada–Asia investment, and non-profits.

He has served as a director of the Hong Kong Canada Business Association and the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BC Division).

Since 2008, Purdie has been a director of Care BC and currently serves as Board Chair. A director of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. since 2009, he has held four terms as Board Chair and seven as Treasurer. 

He has also served as a director, Secretary and Treasurer of the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre Society, Neil Squire Society, and Vancouver-Richmond Developmental Disabilities Association. In 2015, Purdie received national recognition with the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers.

He holds a bachelor of commerce from the University of British Columbia and a CPA, CA designation in British Columbia.
