Greg Keenan began his career in BC Corrections in 1990, with time spent working in adult and youth custody. He came to JIBC in 1999 to instruct those wishing to pursue a career in corrections. He was appointed Director, Corrections & Court Services Division in June 2022.

Mr. Keenan’s roles at JIBC have included Program Manager in the Health Sciences Division leading curriculum and accreditation, and Program Director in academic programs in the Justice & Public Safety Division. In between two periods of service at the Institute, he also worked in the social housing sector.

His focus is service, learning, and leadership. Mr. Keenan holds a bachelor of general studies degree with a focus on public safety leadership from Simon Fraser University and a master of education from the University of Victoria.
