Windy Beadall

Windy Beadall recently retired after a 40-year career in education. She began as an elementary school teacher in California, Port Alberni, and the Sooke school district before spending the last 15 years in school leadership roles. As principal of Royal Bay Secondary School in Colwood, B.C., she joined two years before it opened, helping in its planning and construction phases and leading community engagement.

Beadall went on to serve as District Principal of Capital Planning for the Sooke school district. She was involved with the planning and opening of three new schools and two prefabricated building projects.  This role included meeting with municipal and Ministry planning officials, advocating for provincial government funding for new schools, and managing equipment budgets of up to $3 million.

After initially retiring in 2024, she returned to the Sooke school district in 2025 for one year to support the development and capacity-building of its information technology team.

Beadall holds a bachelor of education from the University of Victoria and a master of arts in leadership and administration from Gonzaga University.
