Course Details

This course will explore two interrelated aspects of cybercrime analysis. The criminal angle of cybercrime, specifically related to the who, what, when, how, which, and where of the digital world, including a myriad of topics from individual hackers to government-backed cybercrime groups, online surveillance and the resulting privacy implications. The second aspect will focus on the Canadian legal issues and frameworks, as well as safety measures to protect ourselves online. The course provides students with a hands-on analytical experience as they explore the content in-depth, with each week concentrated on a different topic within the domain of cybercrime.

This course is only open to students who have been admitted to our graduate certificate programs.
