Course Details

This course is the third level of hazmat training and at this level the focus is on managing and implementing emergency response operations. Students learn how to develop action plans that meet strategic goals and assign tactical objectives to available resources. Students will learn specialized plugging and patching techniques to contain product releases. The course will also cover atmospheric monitoring & the use of monitoring equipment to deal with known substances and identify unknown substances. This course is accredited by IFSAC and ProBoard in compliance to NFPA 1072 (2017 Edition) for Technician Level. (Formerly HZM120;FS225;FS129) PLEASE NOTE: Online activities start 4 weeks prior to the face to face classroom and skill development sessions. There is a Blackboard course component that involves live sessions, quizzes, and assignments. This is a hybrid course with online and in person sessions.
