Course Details

This course offers an overview of the concepts of mental health and mental illness, including a review of some of the complex needs and most common mental health disorders present among Community Corrections clients. Participants will explore the signs and symptoms of each disorder and will learn how to identify and document mental heath concerns for purposes of case management and referrals. Participants will be introduced to guidelines and tips on how to maximize their responsivity and adapt their approach when working with complex needs clients.
