Criminal Justice & Security
The School of Criminal Justice & Security offers programs that provide the theoretical knowledge and applied understanding for students and professionals in law enforcement, justice and security-related fields.
By combining classroom theory with simulations, job shadowing and real-world experiences, our students are equipped to succeed once they complete their studies.
Corrections
Working at various levels in the justice system in BC and throughout Canada, the Corrections & Court Services Division trains court administrators and community justice professionals such as adult and youth probation officers, correctional officers and youth supervisors. The Corrections Academy trains correctional and probation officers.
Driver Education & Road Safety
Our advanced driving courses save lives and prevent injuries by enhancing skills and producing better drivers. The Driver Education Centre provides opportunities to learn and practice new skills for professional drivers, and for employers interested in reducing work-related crashes.
Intelligence Analysis
The Justice & Public Safety Division offers accredited academic and customized training programs in intelligence analysis for public and private sector clients teaching a wide range of skills for investigations, inspections and analyses.
Law Enforcement & Investigation
The Justice & Public Safety Division offers accredited academic and customized training programs in law enforcement studies, and advanced police training and security training for public and private sector clients.
Police Academy
Our Police Academy trains all municipal police recruits for BC and provides advanced training, including online courses, for municipal police officers.
Security
The Justice & Public Safety Division provides security training for public and private sector clients. Students can acquire the qualifications and license needed to protect property, maintain order and control access to facilities.
Sheriff Academy
The Corrections & Court Services Division trains court administrators and community justice professionals, such as probation officers, corrections professionals and sheriffs. At the Sheriff Academy, sheriff recruits gain the essential skills and qualifications needed to work as a deputy sheriff.
