Course Details

This course is designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and ability to perform child support calculations using DivorceMate software. The course includes an initial 3 hour webinar which reviews the calculation of income and the calculation of net special expenses pursuant to the Child Support Guidelines, with a focus on calculations which require the use of software. The initial webinar also reviews the different types of financial information clients provide to establish their income for child support purposes. The remainder of the course is a 7 hour classroom session which reviews how to enter data in DivorceMate and provides opportunities for participants to practice data entry with a variety of scenarios. The classroom session also includes discussion of how to explain the DivorceMate printouts to clients, as well as options for seeking help with DivorceMate calculations.
