Course Details

This course focuses on how to apply theories of clinical supervision in practice. Through case studies and scenarios, learners will engage with challenging material that may emerge when providing clinical supervision. Learners will gain the practical skills of being able to assess the elements influencing relational clinical supervision dynamics and selecting the appropriate interventions to employ. This course will support the development of the core competences required to provide clinical supervision in counselling and psychotherapy. This course bridges the gap between the former 14-hour COUN-3005: Clinical Supervision course and the new 21-hour COUN-3010: Clinical Supervision Level 1, to allow students in the former course to meet the prerequisite requirements for COUN-3020: Clinical Supervision Level 2.
